Lincoln Park Kitchen Renovation
This kitchen renovation in Lincoln Park, Chicago was designed to create a clean, elevated, and highly functional space centered around custom cabinetry and premium appliances. The finished kitchen combines Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, a custom-designed cabinetry layout, and a carefully balanced material palette featuring painted off-white cabinetry mixed with rift white oak.
The kitchen was being built around a fixed appliance lineup — Sub-Zero and Wolf — which set heights and widths that had to work within a space not originally designed for them. Getting full-height cabinetry, a custom rounded hood, and frameless panels to align correctly required the kind of precision where an eighth-inch mistake reads immediately.
Everything had to be measured, ordered, and installed in sequence.

Our approach to this project was centered on combining custom design with a refined material palette and modern functionality. We developed a custom cabinetry layout that maximized storage, improved flow, and created a strong visual rhythm across the kitchen.
To keep the space feeling sleek and elevated, we used all frameless cabinetry, which helped create crisp lines and a more contemporary appearance. The cabinetry finish combined painted off-white surfaces with rift white oak to bring warmth, texture, and contrast into the room without overwhelming the space. A custom rounded hood added softness and character, while full-height panels helped maintain a seamless, built-in look throughout the kitchen.
The scope of work for this Lincoln Park kitchen remodel included the full cabinetry installation, countertop fabrication and setting, tile backsplash, appliance coordination, and all associated trim and finish work. The cabinet layout was designed from scratch to maximize storage, frame the appliances correctly, and deliver clean sight lines across the entire kitchen elevation. Every measurement was tied to the Sub-Zero and Wolf appliance specs before a single cabinet was ordered.

The kitchen finished four days early. Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, frameless off-white cabinetry, rift white oak accents, and a custom hood that ties the whole elevation together. The proportions work. The client noticed the difference before the punch list was complete.
Lincoln Park kitchens tend to be in greystones and vintage brick buildings where original floor plans weren't designed around modern cooking. Layout reconfiguration, load-bearing considerations near stairwells, and high finish expectations are all part of the job here. The permit for this project went through Chicago DOB on the first submission.
