Chicago's outdoor season is short. When you invest in a deck or porch, it needs to be built right — proper footings below the frost line, correct material for the climate, and construction that does not rot, warp, or fail after three winters. We build exterior structures to last.
We handle new deck construction, porch restoration and rebuilds, pergolas and outdoor structures, exterior stairs, fencing, and exterior trim work for Chicago homes. We work with pressure-treated lumber, cedar, ipe, and composite decking systems depending on the application and budget.
Every deck we build is permitted with the Chicago Department of Buildings. Frost-depth footings, ledger attachment to the house, and railing height requirements are non-negotiable — and we manage all of it.

Our Process
Design & Permit
We develop drawings for your deck or porch, confirm zoning setbacks, and submit for permit with the Chicago DOB. Permit is required for all new construction and structural replacements.
Footings
Frost-depth footings are dug and poured before framing begins. Chicago's frost line requires footings at 42 inches minimum. Inspected before framing.
Framing & Decking
Framing is built level and square. Ledger attachment to the house is properly flashed and through-bolted. Decking and railing are installed and finished.
Final Inspection
We coordinate the final inspection with the Chicago DOB. Permit is closed before the project is complete.
